Our Therapists

At The Turner Centre we have over twenty qualified, independently practicing counsellors, psychotherapists and a clinical psychologist.

We also have several therapists who have additional skills in mediation, art therapy, visualisation and play therapy to enhance their work.

We see individuals, couples, families, children & adolescents and groups and we have low cost places for those on restricted incomes, although these are limited. We also have a student counsellor on placement at the centre who is able to see clients as part of her training for £6 per session.

We are able to offer flexible appointment times from early in the morning to late in the evening and several therapists work on a Saturday (fees may be charged at a higher rate for Saturday appointments).

All our therapists are insured and registered with at least one of the main therapy or ganisations including;

Each therapist is bound by their professional body’s Code of Ethics and subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.

In order to ensure our therapists are working to their code of ethics and is providing a safe and high standard of practice, each therapist receives regular clinical supervision. This is a fortnightly or monthly space each for each therapist to reflect on their practice with a qualified clinical supervisor. This is a requirement for working at The Turner Centre and also a requirement by the BACP, UKRC, UKCP, BABCP and BASRT.
